Meet our executive committee

As Arts Union President , I am privileged to work with an incredibly talented committee, dedicated to fostering a strong culture and supporting Bachelor or Arts students with their academic and industry ambitions. Currently studying a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Italian, and a Bachelor of Politics, Philosophy and Economics, I have developed a strong appreciation for the diverse talents and aspirations within our faculty.

I'm excited to lead Arts Union into an expansionary phase, developing long-lasting connections with external partners, diversifying our educational support and advocacy, and connecting with students at a ground level, to facilitate community and wellbeing within the Faculty of Arts.

As Secretary of the Arts Union, I help keep the club organised and ensure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. I coordinate meeting agendas and minutes, manage communications, maintain club records, and support the executive team in delivering events and initiatives for our members.

I'm passionate about fostering a welcoming and inclusive community where students can connect, get involved, and make the most of their university experience.

As Arts Union's Externals VP I am committed to communicating and engaging with all companies, groups and people not associated with the University. My role is tasked with pursuing sponsorship opportunities and funding for Arts Union, as well as fostering a professional mutual relationship with outside supporters.

As Externals VP I organise all external impressions of the Union, including running our website, LinkedIn and organising events

My key roles as Treasurer of the Arts Union entail managing day to day financial operations of the union, in addition to coordinating with other portfolios to satisfy their financial requirements. I’m keen to ensure the long term maintenance of the Unions accounts, and achieve fiscal growth wherever possible.

As the Vice-President of Education, it is my responsibility to ensure that you have access to a large breadth and depth of education opportunities throughout your arts degree. This ranges from study nights, public speaking events, and the developments of study guides for your arts units.

I truly believe in the power of education and the pathways it can unlock for arts students – it is vital for our students to be aware of every single opportunity they have, so they can take full advantage of their time at this world-class institution. My portfolio is here for you to unlock your full academic potential.

The Arts Union Equity Portfolio aims to foster fun and inclusive wellness and diversity events. We strive to build a supportive community, ensuring arts students feel valued and seen through cross-club collaboration, cultural celebration and spreading awareness.

We encourage students to engage in club events for their well-being and to foster connection, while trusting the Arts Union to represent them.

The socials portfolio works throughout the year to provide arts students with social events such as pub crawls, balls and movie nights. Social events provide excellent opportunities for arts students to connect and engage with their peers and community.

Our events play a significant role in developing the culture and identity of the club, which in turn diversifies and amplifies the experiences of arts students at UWA. This year we have been focusing on broadening engagement with the club, particularly from freshers and other clubs within the university through collaborations and a focus on encouraging new students to participate in events.

The Arts Union Careers Portfolio is dedicated to connecting Arts students with industry, supporting the transition from university to employment. Through networking opportunities, careers events, employer partnerships and professional development initiatives, we aim to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and connections needed to pursue meaningful careers.

We are committed to breaking down barriers to employment, empowering students, and ensuring we reflect the diverse aspirations of the Arts community.

The Marketing portfolio oversees the union's communication channels and develops branding strategies, ensuring Arts Union is represented authentically while keeping the students informed in a timely manner regarding events, opportunities, and relevant updates

The Arts Union portfolio recognises that physical activity is integral to fostering academic excellence and overall student wellbeing. We proudly host social sporting events in association with UWA Sport, currently in netball and soon expanding to volleyball, where arts students come together in a relaxed and welcoming environment.

These events offer the perfect opportunity to make new friendships, build a stronger sense of community, and take a well-deserved break from the demands of academic life. Whether you’re a seasoned player or a complete beginner, everyone is welcome - because staying active, connected, and energised is just as important as what happens in the classroom.

As the Immediate Past President of Arts Union I am committed to the continued support and help of the new committee members. As IPP I ensure club culture remains strong and the am the systems of support for all ordinary committee members as well as the guide for new executive leaders.
